There was a grand turnout in support of the National Capital Region’s Habitat for Humanity.
“Steel Toes and Stilettos”, a gala evening held at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa, was a huge success. Supporters were treated to a magnificent dinner, fashion show, and auction, while knowing their generous donations were helping a worthy cause.
Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer, non-profit, faith-based housing ministry that builds simple, decent, affordable homes and sells them with no interest mortgages to low income working families seeking an affordable home in which to raise their children. People of all faiths and cultures are warmly welcomed by Habitat for Humanity-NCR.
Accompanied by local businessman, Shawn Dawson, local fitness star Vanda Hadarean thoroughly enjoyed the evening. “It is a great cause that I am honoured to be a part of, it made for a memorable evening. I would like to thank Shawn for getting me involved in this special event.”
